Jennifer Hudson = Best boss ever?
The American Idol alum-turned-Hollywood movie star was far from Grinchy this Christmas, giving her assistant Walter Williams an entire house as his present!
In a video the singer-actress posted to Instagram (which you can see below), Jen hands Walt a pamphlet of paper — presumably a deed to the house — and he shrieks, scaring the living daylights out of her and practically tackling her on the couch!
"My assistant Walter's reaction when he found out I was buying him a house for Christmas!" the 32-year-old captioned.
Even after he has regained his composure, he still can't believe her generosity. "What?!" he exclaims at the end of the video.
Jennifer sung his praises in a 2011 interview with The Advocate, saying: "My assistant Walter is going to kill me for this, but whatever. Walter and I have been friends since sixth grade. He’s by far my closest friend and my closest gay friend ever."
Clearly!
Jennifer has had a busy few months: she had high-profile roles in Black Nativity and The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, she cut her hair, she laughed in the face of Idol producers who laughed at her, and she assured us that she and Beyonce are totally cool.
Add this generous gift to that chronology, and it seems like she had a fine 2013.
